Serves 4
30 ounces/850 g drained can of white beans
2 cloves crushed garlic
2 green onions diced
1/4 cup/60 ml fresh lemon juice (about 4 large lemons)
2 tablespoons/30 ml tahini
2 tablespoons/30 ml sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon/1 ml ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon/2 ml dried Italian Seasoning
1/2 teaspoon/2 ml sea salt
1/4 teaspoon/1 ml fresh ground black pepper
In a food processor combine white beans, crushed garlic, green onions, tahini, sesame oil, cumin, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Pulse on and off 3-4 times until smooth. Remove to a bowl and serve with your favourite pita chips.
