Making your own almond milk is easier than you think — and the taste is far superior to anything you’ll find in a carton! This simple recipe creates smooth, fresh almond milk with just two ingredients. No additives, no preservatives, and no hidden sugars. Perfect for coffee, smoothies, cereal, baking, or drinking straight from the glass. Once you try homemade, you’ll never go back to store-bought! Why You’ll Love This Almond Milk

  • Only 2 ingredients (almonds + water)
  • Completely dairy-free, vegan, and gluten-free
  • No gums, thickeners, or artificial flavors
  • Customizable sweetness and flavor
  • Cost-effective and fresher than store versions
  • Ready in minutes after soaking

Ingredients

  • 1 cup/243g raw whole almonds
  • 4 cups/950ml filtered water (plus more for soaking overnight)

Instructions

  1. Add almonds to a bowl and cover with enough water to submerge. Soak 6-8 hours or overnight. This helps them soften enough so that they can blend properly.

  2. In the morning, drain almonds from their soaking water and rinse them in a colander.

  3. Add soaked almonds and 4 cups of fresh filtered water to a high-powered blender.

  4. Blend on high speed for 1 minute, adding 30 seconds more if you feel it necessary to blend.
  5. Place your nut milk bag over a large bowl or pitcher. Pour the almond milk into the bag and strain the liquid into the bowl, using your hands to wring out all of the milk.

  6. Pour the almond milk from the bowl into glass jars. Almond milk will keep in the fridge for up to a week, if not longer. If it separates, simply shake the jars.

Recipe Notes

Don’t toss the nut pulp — it can be used to make homemade crackers, add to smoothies or nut flour.
